Scott Mills is a radio DJ, television presenter and occasional actor, best known for presenting his show on BBC Radio 1. Scott joined BBC Radio 1 in 1998 to present the early breakfast show. In January 2004, he shifted to a weekend afternoon slot for just over 6 months, but later that year moved over to the weekday early-evening slot, known as The Scott Mills Show. He provides holiday cover for other slots including The Radio 1 Breakfast Show, as well as hosting The Official Chart show.
While being a regular daytime show host on BBC Radio 1, Scott also does some work on BBC Radio 2 as a cover presenter. He is the main stand-in for Rylan Clark-Neal on his Saturday afternoon show, and has also been a stand-in for Ken Bruce, filling in on a daily show on BBC Radio 2 while continuing to host his regular programme on BBC Radio 1. Scott and Chris Stark also host a show on BBC Radio 5 Live which is part of the station's weekend line up.
In addition to his radio work, he has also appeared on various television shows, playing both as a character and as himself. His main acting role was as reporter Paul Lang in the BBC medical drama Casualty. He also had a cameo in the soap opera River City after praising the show highly on his radio show. He has has appeared as a contestant or guest on programmes including Mastermind, Supermarket Sweep, Children in Need, Most Haunted, and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He narrated the music TV show The Pop Years and has presented many high-profile programmes.
