Jamie Redknapp is a former professional footballer, Sky Sports Pundit and columnist. He began his career by quickly becoming one of the most popular and talented footballers of his generation after beginning his career at A.F.C. Bournemouth. Jamie went on to play for Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton in a fast-paced athletic career and gained 17 caps for England before his retirement from professional football in 2005.
Since then, Jamie has gone on to form a highly successful media career ranging from punditry for Sky Sports to being Team Captain on the two-time BAFTA winning, A League of Their Own. Alongside this, Jamie has been involved in a substantial number of impactful commercial campaigns for brands such as Paddy Power, Skechers, De’Longhi and WOW Hydrate.
In 2020, Jamie released his first book: Me, Family and the Making of a Footballer. The heart warming memoir gives a personal account of what it was like growing up as the second son of Harry Redknapp, his extraordinary childhood and an obsession with Football.
Over the course of lockdown, Jamie teamed up with dad Harry and good friend Tom Davis for Sky One show Redknapp’s Home Fixture for a weekly evening of anecdotes and in-depth reflections from sporting greats. Guests included Rory McIlroy, John Terry, Dina Asher-Smith, Tyson Fury and Alex Scott.
