Arlene Phillips is a showbiz legend; she has worked with stars from film and TV, to theatre and arenas, as well as becoming one of Britain’s favourite television judges. Currently, Arlene is developing new musical What’s New Pussycat? from the music of Tom Jones, alongside & Juliet director Luke Sheppard. Her TV judging credits include P&O Strictly Come Dancing Cruise, Over The Rainbow, So You Think You Can Dance, Strictly Come Dancing, Strictly Dance Fever, DanceX and Let’s Dance for Comic Relief.
She has directed The Rise Of A Falling Star, Judy – The Songbook of Judy Garland, Saturday Night Fever, international productions of Starlight Express, US Tours of Joseph and Jesus Christ Superstar, Lord of the Dance, The Songbook of Judy Garland, Brazouka, Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Manchester XVII Commonwealth Games.
Arlene has choreographed an extensive number of musicals and over one hundred TV commercials. Her work in film includes Annie, Legend, White Hunter, Black Heart, Salome’s Last Dance, Monty Python’s Meaning of Life and Wind in the Willows, Can’t Stop The Music to name a few, as well as extensive television credits.
Arlene has produced Channel 4 The Sound of Musicals, The Very Hot Gossip Show, ITV Britannia High, BBC DanceX. ABC Dance War and Barbie Dance DVD, Midnight Tango.
