Andy Parsons is an English comedian and writer. Best known for his role on the hit show Mock The Week, Andy started his career as a writer for comedy TV shows including Weekending, Smith and Jones and Spitting Image. He has performed on numerous radio and TV shows including Live at the Apollo, QI, The Stand-Up Show, The Comedy Store and They Think It’s All Over to name a few. Andy also has a highly acclaimed political podcast, Slacktivist Action Group, recorded monthly at London’s Soho Theatre.
He has appeared as a guest on BBC Radio 5 Live's Fighting Talk and presented The PMQ show on BBC Radio 5 Live. He was a regular during the 2010 World Cup on the BBC Radio 2 show Never Write Off The Germans. Andy also appeared in World's Most Dangerous Roads, travelling along the Road of Bones in Siberia, visiting the coldest inhabited place on Earth and sleeping in a tent at -53°C.
He regularly performs solo shows at comedy festivals, and at The Comedy Store. He is the Time Out Comedy Award Winner 2002. He has toured in the UK with his shows Andy Parsons: Citizens!, Gruntled, I've Got A Shed, Live & Unleashed - But Naturally Cautious, Peak Bullsh*t and most recently, Healing The Nation.
