Alistair McGowan is an impressionist, actor, writer of jokes, plays and sketches, stand-up comedian and, latterly, pianist. In addition to his well-known stand-up, he currently tours several shows. His early career on two of TV’s most popular shows Spitting Image and The Big Impression, formerly known as Alistair McGowan's Big Impression made him a household name. An inspired and inspiring entertainer, Alistair is in demand for theatre touring, voice-overs and corporate engagements.
He boasts a repertoire of over one hundred impersonations, including such celebrities as Tony Blair, Prince Charles, David Beckham, Angus Deayton, Ross Geller (from Friends), Gary Lineker, and other well-known public figures and characters.
At the age of 49, Alistair went back to the piano (having reached Grade 2 as a nine-year old), achieving a No. 1 Sony album that grew into successful live concerts with a difference. The Piano Show, 13 short pieces interspersed with Alistair’s trademark impressions, is ‘the classical concert you’ve always wanted to see’.
