Adam Thomas began his acting career in 2002, when he was offered a guest role in BBC’s medical soap opera Doctors. In 2004, he was cast in a minor role in BBC’s medical drama series Casualty.

Adam received his breakthrough role in the year 2006, when he was presented with an opportunity to play Donte Charles in television drama series ‘Waterloo Road.’ He went on to appear in a total of 47 episodes. In 2009 he was cast as Adam Barton in Emmerdale. He won the Best Soap Newcomer at the 2010 TV Choice Awards and has so far appeared in more than 800 episodes.
