Selkii is best known from being one of Blake Shelton’s favourites on the most recent season of NBC The Voice. She was also 7th place on South African Idol - her native country’s version of American Idol. Her powerful but angelic voice is just one of the many facets that make her a treasure to see live. Her impressive looping pedal skills allow her to create sonic backdrops to her live captivating performances.
She basically layers live-performed percussion, laid-back guitar licks, bass & keys - and then effortlessly soars over them with her gorgeous voice. She has a wildly diverse and ever-growing repertoire of over 1800 songs and performs more than 120 shows a year. Her velvety voice has been compared to Eva Cassidy, Pink, Susan Tedeschi & Bonnie Rait & her guitar-style is reminiscent of the laid back stylings of Jack Johnson & Live-looper Ed Sheeran.
